The Southside Chicago has historically gained the rep of one of the worst neighborhoods and areas in the country. While there’s great parts in the community, the violence, crime, and poverty seem to overshadow up and coming communities like Bronzeville, or the popular Hyde Park neighborhood which houses The University Of Chicago. Roseland, a community in the deep part of the South Side of Chicago, often referred to as the “Wild 100′s” is one of the communities that has helped to give the South Side it’s name and reputation.
